‘Spectre’ movie actor Daniel Craig appears in a Heineken beer video commercial that promotes upcoming James Bond spy thriller, which Sony Pictures will premiere domestically Nov. 6.
“The Heineken spot will be launched mobile-first via Facebook, and will be shown on TV and cinema screens worldwide 24 hours later,” says a press release from the brewer. “Heineken is the only ‘Spectre’ partner who has created a television commercial starring Daniel Craig.” Heineken is among a dozen other first-tier promo partners in ‘Spectre’ joining Omega time pieces, Aston Martin cars, Belvedere Vodka and Tom Ford fashions.
It’s a global movie tie-in with Heineken placing the ‘Spectre’ movie logo on a half billion bottles of beer. “The new Bond-themed bottles also include a unique scan-able logo and codes on each, unlocking free movie tickets in partnership with Fandango (1 in 7 wins), as well as original ‘Spectre’ content,” says the press release.
This is Heineken’s seventh consecutive agent 007 promotion for a movie, dating back to “Tomorrow Never Dies” in 1997.
