December 6, 2012 by Robert Marich Leave a Comment

For $99.99, Trekkies can slice their pizza with style.

“Star Trek” fans can slice their pizzas with a U.S.S. Enterprise Pizza Cutter from ThinkGeek, which is a licensed merchandise outfit based in Fairfax VA.

A press release says that the $99.99 cutter, which is in the shape of the space ship, is “limited to 1,701 units and each will feature a unique number laser etched onto the blade.  Under license by CBS Consumer Products, this collectible is the perfect item to beam into any true ‘Star Trek’ fan’s kitchen or another place of honor within their quarters.”

The press release adds, “The Golden Limited Edition Star Trek Pizza Cutter joins an exclusive collection of ‘Star Trek’ merchandise created and sold by ThinkGeek that includes the Bat’leth Letter Opener, Inflatable Captain’s Chair for children and adults, and Electronic Door Chime.”

The ThinkGeek company is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange and generates $127 million in annual revenues, per a financial website. The company describes its mission as “to provide tech, gadget, and toy-obsessed communities with all the things geeks crave.”
