The Eventful website touts Disney donations from tickets sold for “African Cats.”

Walt Disney Studios serves up lots of web links in a press release for “African Cats,” its documentary set for April 22 theatrical release.

A portion of box office will be donated to the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), which makes AWF a promotional partner.

There’s the obligatory Facebook page and a website to “pledge” to see the movie. Another ticket commerce page that says it will double Disney’s donation to AWF when bringing a friend. The website to support wildlife preservation includes a link to a section of the Disney website that is a de facto homepage for the film.

All this is under the umbrella of a social media campaign dubbed “See ‘African Cats,’ Save the Savanna.”

The film is from the studio’s Disneynature unit.
