The Aura Group Launches MovieConnect(TM) to Deliver Movie Times to Banner Ads and Mobile Phones

FULLERTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 2006--The Aura Group, a leading interactive advertising firm specializing in rich media, today announced the launch of MovieConnect(TM), a revolutionary new system for bringing movie times and locations to consumers via banner ads and mobile phones. The system allows viewers to click online banner ads and have showtimes beamed directly to their cell phone. MovieConnect is the first 100% Flash(R)-based system compatible with any ad network, ad server, publisher, or browser and delivers all movie times and locations to consumers on a national basis, regardless of venue or theater chain.

By creating a convenient system that delivers movie times on demand via text messaging to mobile phones, The Aura Group's MovieConnect is paving the way for movie studios to interact with moviegoers. Now, movie studios can deliver custom content that will increase branding and help close the proverbial advertising loop - selling tickets more efficiently.

Launched in June of 2006, MovieConnect debuted with the Warner Independent Pictures release, 'A Scanner Darkly.' "To be able to incorporate theaters and showtimes into actual advertising, makes it that much easier for moviegoers to get to the films they want to see," said Laura Kim, EVP of marketing at Warner Independent.

Subsequently, The Aura Group formed a partnership with Terry Hines & Associates, owner of the movie showtime text messaging service 43KIX, to utilize their services to power its online element. "By working with so many studios in the mobile space, it was important for us to increase the value of their online buys simply by giving the moviegoer something they need," explained Chris Geromini, president of 43KIX.

"With over 8+ billion text messages sent monthly in the U.S., consumers are becoming increasingly accustomed to receiving information via text messaging," said Aura's CEO, David Bailey. "Now that banner ads can send movie times directly to your phone, our system has taken this medium to a whole new level."
