MoviePass Cuts Price Again to $6.95/month

March 23, 2018—MoviePass lowered its price even more to $6.95 for its one-cinema-ticket per day program, further confounding critics who wonder how the subscription service will ever make money. The service was $7.95 previously and a while back $50/month.
MoviePass buys tickets at full price, so losses ensue if users go to just two movies a month (they can go to roughly 30 a month—one

movie per day). The service hopes to get discounts from theaters and also generate side money from exploiting access to its subscriber base that passed 2 million. The publicly-traded company behind MoviePass has wowed Wall Street investors with its growing subscriber head-count.
