Cinemark Pushes Enlarged Dine-in

March 9, 2019-The nation’s third-largest cinema chain by screen-count, Cinemark embraces the dine-drink-and-watch-a-movie segment that was pioneered by startup theater chains.
   Cinemark—which has 4,586 screens in the U.S.—opened its CUT! in-theater dining/entertainment theater in a new-from-the-ground-up 10-screen

   Cinemark says “a new approach to dine-in moviegoing offering a complete entertainment experience, featuring delicious cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails and the ideal social setting… guests (get) made-to-order menu items and cocktails to enjoy in each of the 10 state-of-the-art auditoriums, as well as in the dining and lounge areas. Moviegoers will have their entrees, beverages and traditional snacks delivered discreetly to their seat with just the push of a button. The restaurant, lounge and patio are welcoming environments designed to offer guests fun, casual and social spaces.”
   The startups that pioneered dine-in theaters include Alamo Drafthouse and iPics. Meanwhile, Cinemark operates in 41 states, including under the Rave and Tinseltown brands. The company also has theaters outside the U.S.
